Aura Sapera M.Ed. joined Park West in February 2022. Prior to that, she was a teacher with the Montessori Family School of Manhattan for 11 years, and was a teacher with NYS DOE. She is a multilingual teacher (Romanian, English, Spanish and French) who likes to include language and cultural studies in her classroom. Aura has a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from the College of New Rochelle and a Masters in Cultural Studies from Romania. She is Montessori credentialed in Early Childhood and has her NYS certification in Early Childhood. Prior to her work in early childhood education, Aura was a teacher in Romania in elementary and middle schools. Aura has two children, ages 10 and 15, who were educated in Montessori environments. She loves art and poetry, and has published two poetry books in Aromanian, her native language.
