Sushma was born and raised in India. Though her native language is Nepali, she is also fluent in English and Hindi.

After studying commerce in college, her professional life has been dedicated to enriching young minds. After her education training, she was in charge of the daily routines and education of twenty-five underprivileged children at an orphanage in Sikkim, India. Seeking new challenges, she relocated first to Bangkok and taught ESL at the Language Center Institute, and then to Laos to teach at a private, English language school, where she was promoted to English Department Head. Sushma moved to New York City in 2005 and has taught preschool with The International Preschools, and Bright Horizons.



Sushma is certified in Yoga Instruction, and teaching Yoga to young children, and children with special needs. Her hobbies include, travel, cooking, hiking, yoga, and running, (she has completed three NYC marathons).
